Good Times On The Regular

Aah shit! Lost it there for a while, but back now and I guess better late than never.  Kind of no point explaining what I´ve been doing lately, but will just sum it up quickly. One of the reason I haven´t written anything is because my camera broke down on the last trip to Roldal. The screen just turned black and none of the buttons worked. Turned out out it had severe water and sand damage and there was no point trying to fix it. I really wonder where all that sand came from…. Anywho, after a small easter break a bit here and there, I had the opportunity to move back to my crib at Bislet in Oslo. An opportunity I took so stoked to be back. Nice to chill out in your own crib, no doubt about that.

So after a couple of weeks home in Oslo and a small insurance claim, I went on a spring shoot in Lindvallen, Sweden last weekend with a brand new camera. The weather was pretty shit so didn´t get many shots that worked, but here is maybe one.

The guys had maybe a one hour session on the hip, but after the sun went down it was basically straight on the bottle and out on town. Good fun hanging out with alot of swedes.

It has been a pretty good winter and I´m stoked on all the trips been on. I didn´t think I would go away almost every weekend, but it has almost been like that and on sunday I´m going on the sickest trip to date. Going to probably the coolest ski resort in scandinavia which is Åre. Almost a 10 hour ride from Oslo, but everytime I´ve been there, I´ve had such an epic time. This time we are going to have a spring kicker shoot and there is a rumour about a helicopter so pretty psyched on this trip.

Which means I´m going shut up now and leave you to some pics from the last few weeks. Some random b&w shots and some colour stuff.
I´ve also got the Perth documentary lined up. It contains some pretty rough material, so viewer discretion is advised.
Think I´m just gonna leave it with that and let you just watch it.

Hope you enjoyed the show. Think I scaled the shots a bit too much, but will have to do for now.
Dont hate, appreciate and time for me to retreat and chill out with some Eastbound and Down. Check that shit out. It´s one badass tv-show! Be back before you know it then.

Roadtrippin

After a pretty epic weeken in Lillehammer and Hafjell I’m now on my way to Roldal, again. Pretty damn tired and hungover after a couple of days of binchdrinking. Got off work on Thursday, drove up to Lillehammer and shredded the megapark in Hafjell on Friday. Drove back to Oslo that evening to attend the birthday party I was talking about earlier. Totally worth it, even though It became pretty late. Dont think I ended in my bed before 4 am. Got some hours of sleep berfore I stood early to drive back to Lillehammer. Had an awesome day in the slopes with a lot of friends so it was mos def good times. Got back on the bottle at the after ski and it just continued from there on.

Stayed at my good friend and earlier school mate, Espen, at hafjell. Once I got to his house after the afterski I was served champagne basically right at the door so safe to say the evening was pretty much set for disaster. Not gonna give you the whole night in details as I dont remember much, but ended in bed around 5 after Espen had carried me home almost, as I was pretty smashed and passed out. Woke up mid day with the lights and clothes on and a bit confused. Great success in other words.

So here I am then, on the road, on my way to Roldal for some more shooting in the backcountry. Since I’m not in the best shape today I got Lars to drive which is pretty sweet. Was damn close on hitting a deer just 20 minutes ago, but dodged it just barely. Seriously close call, but else from that it’s all good in the hood. Got a couple of more hours to go so hopefully it will be a smooth ride.

I promised you a video from Perth the other day and it’s done so will come out with it as soon as I get in front of my laptop again. Borrowin Lars’ phone to write this.

But got a couple of lifestyle pics from Roldal last time I was here, so you can check those out.

Me and Kim had to go to Odda to fix his skiis. This town is know for its drug problems, but it’s a really nice place actually.

The boss at the skishop weren’t too keen on mounting Kim’s bindings as he didn’t have the proper tools for it, but Kim’s persuading skills came through in the end and the bindings was mounted the old school way.

Kim was pretty stoked on hitting the jump.

Frido stretching before it’s game time.

When boys become men! This was the sickest kicker I’ve seen in the backcountry for a long time. None of the guys volunteered for the first hit to put it that way. But once the session got on, it was just off the hook. The airtime on this jump was just mindblowingly long.

Mr Chaoz Production himself, Eivind, waiting for the session to begin.

Since we lost the sun quite early, we decided to shred some in the local resort. Dont think I’ve seen so much snow in a norwegian resort ever.

When I scanned this picture I couldn’t understand why he was wearing his close so strangely. So I leaned into the screen and zoomed in on the picture. When I realised what he was doing I almost fell of the chair because I found it quite hilarious.
Wasn’t sure what to do about it, but gonna leave it up there until he finds out. Sausage anyone?

Thats it for today. The wi-fi at the place we are staying is pretty shit, but will try and update as soon as I have something so show. All I can do is hope for good weather so that I can get those shots. Time will tell, but until then, peace, love and understanding. I’m out!

End of Season

Sad, but true. The winter season is coming to an end it looks like. There is no snow left in the city and the temperature just keeps on rising. I dont mind, really. As much as I love the winter, it’s nice to get that spring feeling. The sun doesn’t set before 6 and the birds are whistling in the morning. Really enjoyable.

But enough talk about the weather and birds and shit. Gonna tell you whats been down lately, what my plans are, show you some pics and then go to bed because, as always, it´s late and I have to get up early for work.
Last time I spoke here, I was on my way up to Trysil for a gig. I wouldn´t say I chocked and fucked it up, but probably not far from it. Better just to leave it with that. Got back on Sunday, before I went to Røldal for a week of shooting with Chaoz Productions on Monday. We started building this insane backcountry kicker on Tuesday, had a session on it on wednesday, but the guys only got a couple of hits before the sun disappeared. Didn’t get many shots, but got a couple that I’m really stoked on. Will see where they end up. The next days the weather was completely shit so a lot of down time before it was home on Friday again. Spent the weekend home in Oslo, hanging out with Joe and Hedda.

Had a little photoshoot yesterday as you can see. Nothing much has changed since we moved from Aussie.

The weekend flew by pretty quickly as it always does and back at work this week before I head for Lillehammer and Hafjell on Thursday to attend the annual Fri Fly Mega Park. It used to be at Oppdal which is 6 hours north of Oslo, but they have moved it to Hafjell this year so should be interesting to see how it will be, compared to previous years.

When the weekend is over, I’m hoping to get back to Roldal and finish up the shoot. Just gotta hope for sunny weather and not shitty rain. And if that get’s in order it’s basically easter break the week after where the plans are sort of set, but there may be some changes. Just have to wait and see I guess.
Not sure what will happen after easter, but moving out from my dads crib and in to my crib at Bislet so stoked on that.

I think that’s it for now. It’s gonna be a hectic weekend come think about it, as I’m going to attend a birthday party in Oslo on Friday. Which means driving down from Lillehammer to Oslo on Friday and then driving up again on Saturday. Heavy shit, but got a feeling that it’s going to be worth it.

I have bored you enough now I’d say, so time to let the pics talk. Been working on this film from Aussie and it’s basically done just have to do some small tweaks before I upload it. It’s gonna be pretty sick so keep your eyes open.

A couple of lifestyle shots from the shoot in Hamar. Will be back with more from Roldal.

Almost walked in to this spider web while walking around in the bush on our way back from Lancelin when my mom and brother visited me in Aussie.

Think that was it. Some vacations photos from our trip to Lancelin. All shot with my old Canon EOS30 and some slide film. Perfect combo.

That’s it, that’s all folks. Time for me to get a few hours of sleep, but look out for a small movie dropping very soon.
Until then, sayonara!

I Suck

I suck really bad actually, but I figured it was time to get back on the blog horse no matter how long time it´s been since I wrote here. It´s pretty late and I´m leaving for my first paid photogig tomorrow morning so have to keep this a short one.
But to sum things up: Last week and the week before that I was in Hamar, shooting urban with Chaoz Production. Got some real bangers and had a really great time so pretty satisfied with how that went down. Pushed a lot of the pics to different magazines earlier tonight so hopefully I´ll get some positive response back on them later.

Cant show you the pics from those days as you can understand, but been scanning some behind the scenes shots that I’ve taken with my rolleiflex which you can see here.

This last one os obviously not from the Rolleiflex. Just good old digital.

It’s what I’ve gotten around to do so far. Got some more uneditet pics from a couple of weekends back when I went rallying with my dad. Had a test in the swedish forests with his new car. Was pretty fun and will get back you on that.

Stoked to announce that my program for next days are pretty packed. Going to Trysil, which is 3 hours north-eastish from Oslo, tomorrow to shoot some pics from an event there. Pays good so pretty satisfied, but just don’t hope I choke completely and fuck it all up. Crossing my fingers for a good weekend then. Then it’s home on Sunday before I’m heading up to a place called Røldal on monday. Backcountry shoot with Chaoz Production and this is something I’m really looking forward to. A whole week with shooting and tanning in the sun. It’s gonna be totally freakin epic!

Anyways, I think it’s time to wrap it up so that I at least can get a few hours of sleep before it’s game time. Got some more pics from the last weeks to show you so if the weekend doesn’t get to hectic, I’ll try and come back tomorrow or something. For a last little surprise I figured I could show you this:

Got a couple of pics published in the latest Fri Flyt magazine so pretty stoked on that. Hopefully there will be many more to come.

Time to hit the sack as I have a long day ahead of me tomorrow, but will try and update more often as things are about to go down hard these next few weeks.

Talk to you later then.

Getting It On

Hell yeah. I’m back, bitches! You might thought this blog was dead, but it has never been more alive. I figured if I started to drink less, maybe I would blog more, but obviously that doesn’t seem to help very much. Therefore, so far, being sober in the weekends is just as waste as getting your drunk on, so maybe it’s time to screw those hangovers and just go for it? Guess we will find out soon.

Anyways, good being back. Had an awesome last weekend. This weekend was okay, but the last one was better. Went skiing saturday and sunday with my friend, Yvonne.
Shredded some in Tryvann on Saturday and in Drammen on Sunday, unfortunately, her day didn’t end so good.

She ended up with a broken wrist and a cast on her arm. And a small claim to fame to the photographer there. Shameless selfpromotion is what it is!

I got thru the weekend unhurt though, so I’m still pretty awesome. Last week was just work and couch hangouts. I drive around 200km a day so I’m pretty tired once I get home. I try to get out, but my ass is pretty hard glued to the couch.
Which brings us to this weekend. Got a visit from my homeboy from Perth.

Yep, that’s my dawg, Eirik. Crashed at my place and we where supposed to take pictures of the Snowboard World Championship this weekend, but that didn’t actually go as planned. Don’t think we even had a plan, but if we did, it went straight to the shitter. He was hungover today so I dropped him of at the train this morning. I went up there to see if I could get some shots, but ended up in the forest, between the trees, with no skis and in the fence. Thats the price you pay for trying to be clever I guess.
So no shots from this weekend, but going to Hamar tomorrow to shoot urban with Chaoz Productions so gonna try and get lots of bangers there.
Not sure how long am going to stay, but will be at least some days, so stoked and think this will be a good one. The weather in Oslo have been seriously shit the last few days with all the snow gone cause of the rain, so looking forward to go to a place where there is snow in the city.
That’s it for now. Time to hit the sack and get ready for some epic days ahead. Got some pics that I just scanned to show you. Some random stuff from Aussie. Hope you like them.

Trampoline session with my cousin this summer. Shot with Holga. The REAL instagram if anyone wondered. And no, you cant call, text, go on facebook, check your bank account or play scrabble or wordfeud or whatever with this camera. It just takes badass pictures and you can get it on ebay for 50 bucks. And you can still have a social life after you bought it as well.

My favourite pic for sure.

Weekend O’Hoy

Hell to the yes! Thursday or it’s actually Friday now since the clocked has turned past 12. Stoked to know that my weekend has officially beging as I have the day off tomorrow. Gonna meet a webdesigner in the city and see if I can’t get this website up and running. That’s pretty early also, so have much of the day to do what I want. Probably gonna go straight to the slopes and shred there for a while. See if I still got the skills to pay the bills. Oh yeah, baller time.
Also nice to know that the days are getting longer as I’m pretty tired of going to job when it’s dark and leave in the dark as well. Probably speaking for most of the population though, but just sayin. You have to push yourself harder to get creative in the dark. At least that’s what I feel, but some maybe have it different.
Told you I would tell some more about the job at my dads place and all the fuckups I’ve done there since the dawn of time, but since the list is quite long I thing I’ll save it for another day since it’s geting late.
Gonna leave you with a couple of pics from the last few days and come back to you later. Guessing monday, but you never know.

Yep, still out there, taking pictures of trains. Freezing my balls of sometimes, but hey, maybe a get good karma or some shit from it. I like the shot though. Turned out pretty cool.

What do you want me to say? I digged the lines and snapped some shots. Pretty satisfied as it turned out banging.

Dont hate, appreciate? Dont hate, participate? Dont hate, celebrate? Starting to get some hair back at least. Can you dig it?

Nice small chat today. Time for me to hit the sack, but as always, thanks for reading, watching, listening and I’ll be back later.

Peace, Love and Understanding.

Keepin It Up

Again, not sure how many times I how to say this, but my promise of updating this blog quite often isn´t exactly going well. I’m out in the streets of Oslo almost everyday to take different pictures of the town, but since I’ve started working at my dads place for the moment there hasn’t been much happening. Been out here and there and have gathered up some pics from this and last week.
Went skiing in Hafjell this weekend which is a ski resort a couple of hours north of Oslo. Stayed at a good friend of mine, Espen, and we had a good time shredding and killing the park. Only problem this weekend was the cold. When the temperature gets down to -17 degrees celsius then it’s not very pleasant to ski. Or it works, but skiboots aren’t exactly known for their ability to keep your feet warm. Thats pretty much where the problem lies. Sort of took a weekend off from filming, shooting and blogging so got nothing to document or back up my words, but again, you just have to take my word for it.

But it was good fun and yes, the weekend was alcohol free so pretty stoked on that as well, even as fucked up that may sound.
Like I mention above, I’ve started working at my dads place, driving packages around town. Nice to have an income and working there has always been quite interesting, which is something I will come back to later. While doing this, I’m still working to get a website up and going and I’ve also scored a photo gig in early March so things are coming together very nice and neatly at the moment.

Before I say sayonara for today, I’m gonna give some credz to Lasse, Lars and Kim or commonly known as the Shred ‘n Breakfast crew, and congratulate them with an awesome first episode of the year.
Digging the vibe and loving the style, as always.

From a little photo sesh in Breck last year. Good fun!

Time to end this with some of my pics form the last week or so. There is not much diversity, but it’s fun to shoot this sort of stuff so will see how many shots I will end up with in the end of the month.

Whats cool about this pics is that they are from the station where they filmed the Norwegian version of Sesame Street. I wasn’t aware of it before I got there and looked inside the house. It was exactly like I remembered it from television when I was little. Brought up some pretty cool memories.

A local tram/subway station in Oslo. So there you have it. This is what I doo. I go out and take pictures of trains on late nights. Something tells me I should find another hobby, but been playing Skate 3 on PS3 lately so that helps, I guess. Or not. Same shit, different wrapping!

Aiight. That’s it, that’s all. Will be back maybe tomorrow or later this week. Easier that way.
Peace, Love and Understanding.

Back In It

Yeah, the consistency on this blog isn’t the best, I agree, and I’m not sure why I dont manage to keep up the consistency, but I’m really gonna try and dedicate more time and effort into this blog. I’ve been around since the last time I wrote here. Last weekend I went to my winter cabin up at Ustaoset with Thor. Just chilled out, played some scrabble and shredded the slopes of Geilo. Not much pics or videos to document it, so you can almost say it didn’t happend as everything needs to be documented at this time of age, but I can asure that it did. You just have to take my word for it.
A mellow last week with some shredding at my local resort and trying get a new website up and running, but it costs money and takes time to decide how to do it so not much progress, but I’m getting there. Will let you know when it’s up.

Stoked on my skiing, though. Having a lot of fun and the knee feels good so no complains here. There might even be some edits here later from some sick shredding so keep your eyes open because it’s gonna get wild.
So that was last week which brings us to this weekend. Could say it started on thursday with the release of season 2 of The Trashparty by The Trashparty. It was pretty awesome and met a lot of old friends that I havent seen in a while so pretty stoked seeing them again. Got kicked out, off course, after probably too many beers and fernet branca shots, but totally worth it! No regrets. Probably gonna be a month before I go out again, but parties like this are parties I dont wanna miss out on.
Check out the episode here.

That was thursday. Chilled out on Friday and woke up early on Saturday to watch my dad drive rally a couple of hours outside of Oslo. Wasn’t the best rally I’ve attended over the years, but nice to get out and about, I guess.

Brought my friend Ulrik up and we had a good time, as you can see here, standing in front of my dads new rally car. It’s a bit slower than the last one, but also cheaper to run.

Here he is in action. Not the best picture, I agree, but sucky light and not much room to be creative on the composition so ended up with a quick snapshot. Does the job though.

I think that’s that. As you can see there is a new theme on the blog. The pics gets a bit bigger now, which I like, but not sure about the rest. It’s not like it’s overflowing with comments on this blog so hard to get another opinion, but works for now and will just have to do some more tweaks later.
Now I’m gonna show you some more pics and then I’m gonna watch the first episode of Top Gear in season 18. Been looking forward to this for a long time now, so pretty stoked.

View from my hangout spot at my dads apartment. A bit hard to place your eyes at one particular thing, but I think the view kick ass. The camera doesn’t justify it properly.

Had to take a picture of my bro before christmas when he was going to the infamous Rokokko Ball. Handsome little fucker, isn’t he?

Just wanted to try some new shit. Not sure if it worked though.

Always wanted to take a picture from this particular passage. Worked ok I think.

Will be back tomorrow then. Hope you enjoyed it all.

Training Day

Oooh, that headline sound so gangsta, but the life in Oslo is as far from gangsta as you can get it. I find the headline quite amusing, though, because I’ve been taking pictures of trains and worked out today. Get it? Train-ing day! Pretty clever right. You have no idea how proud I am of myself for coming up with that headline. It’s been brewing in my head all day and just couldn’t wait to get it out here in this lovely blogosphere.

I kind of spoiled already what I´ve been doing today so no point repeating, but can say that the workout ehh worked? Have to be honest and say that it wasn’t the most effective workout, but new place and coming from a beat down gym in Aussie, where there only were a couple of people, to a gym where I suddenly see naked fat dudes in the changing room is a bit of a transition for me. Not that I have anything against naked fat dudes, I’m just saying, you know, that there is a big diversity of people working out at this new place and naked fat dudes are among that diversity.
Worked out with my good friend, Johan. Don’t have a picture of him, but will get that later cause I have a feeling it wont be the last time we workout together. That dawg is strong though! I mean, shit! We were starting out with this machine that took a good beating on the tits and his warmup set was almost my maximum set. He made it look so easy so I thought, “how hard can it possibly be?” But once I tried to follow him I was like “Nah, fuck this. Better take the pin a bit higher, dude”

Made it through the session at least and I’ve been out taking pictures both before and after the workout. And that’s pretty much what I’ve been doing, so here they are.

Aker Brygge in winter time. Just walked around there earlier today to see if there was anything interesting to photograph. Ended up with this shot.

And since I was on such a roll with my trains then I figured I might as well continue with it. So I went to the other side of the city to take this photo.

This is a kind of picture that is supposed to have a deeper meaning or something. It dont. I was just super exhausted after walking up those stairs so I took a break on the top. Seriously almost had to lay down and too lazy to find a new spot to take a picture so ended up with those killer stairs. Maybe that is the deeper meaning? You know you’re dead once you reach the top.

Can you see whats wrong with those burgers? I love my burgers and consider myself a burger connoisseur, but if you ask Joe he would strongly disagree. Thing is that Joe is not here so I can claim whatever I want without him disagreeing. Feels nice I’ll tell you. Over to the important stuff then. The hamburger is missing something and I sat upstairs and was halfway through the burger when I was thinking that something was missing. Then two seconds later the words like: fuck, shit and jesus titty fucking christ went through my head. Yep, I forgot the cheese. Felt like I had sinned to be honest. Got the cheese on later so in the end I was pretty stoked.

This is where I live. Sort of. It’s nice.

My infamous bed and the place I’m heading now. Guess I could have made the bed, but let’s be honest: You think I wake up in the morning and make the bed? Just gonna let that question hang there cause it’s late and I’m tired.
Thats three for three. Do you think I will make four for four? Check back tomorrow and you will find out.

It’s On

I sleep in a bed where there is a window that points directly down on it and I got nothing to cover it with. I know, it’s a weird thing to start with, but there is a point. In summer this is quite epic because then I wake up when the sun rises, which is around 5, and then I snooze for a while before I get up. Now in winter time, as I have gotten the bad habit of staying up late, the sun doesent rise before much later and the sun barely makes it through my window. This means waking up gets a lot harder and much later. Freaks me out waking up late. At least now in the winter time when we only have 5-6 hours of light.
What I´m saying is that I hate wasting daylight so I kicked my self in the ass today and went on and registered my own company with the neat name of Love Storm Photography. I’m pretty stoked because I have the right to call me self a entrepreneur now. Whatever that means, but it’s on and also time to hit the gym again. And if someone comes up to me and asks me what I’m training so hard for, then it’s LIFE, motherfucker. Cause that’s what’s on. LIFE!

Was supposed to take some pictures for my dad’s 2012 business catalouge, but since the weather was shit, me and my brother took out his ATV and went for a spin. Have to find a way to tune it up a bit to get some more power, but good fun nonetheless.

Speak to you later then.
Peace, Love and Understanding.
